10 most beautiful places I have been in the world
Here are the 10 most beautiful places I have ever been according to
my eyes.my experiences.my travels.
10. Quilotoa Loop, Ecuador
Green hills and blue sky that went on for days. I spent three days trekking from one Andean village to another with in the Quilotoa area of Ecuador's central highlands. The scenery was so peaceful and it was a great way to experience the villages remote people and culture.
9. Hawaii
This place is just plain beautiful. The rocky shores, the waves, the palm trees, the hiking, the sand, the jungle, THE SUNSETS, oh my the sunsets. I want to go back and see all the islands I missed.
8. Ireland
My sister and I rented a car and drove the entirely of this island in all of its emerald green glory. No Guinness was needed to recognize the beauty here but it sure did taste delicious. Renting a car was essential here, we rented from here and took the Emerald Isle by storm!
7. Huarascán National Park, Peru
Between the 4 day Santa Cruz trek and my visit to Laguna 69, this place blew me away. The park is set in the Cordillera Blanca mountain range of the Andes Mountains. You could spend weeks here hiking and trekking all it has to offer, absolutely stunning.
6. Koh Rong, Cambodia
Very little infrastructure and very little electricity on this little slice of island paradise. A boat from the mainland delivered things like ice and food every morning to chill our cocktails and fill our crepes. This place is where I learned the true definition of 'island time'.. but damn was everyone here doing nothing but having a good time on these beautiful beaches.
5. El Salvador
Most people I met were too apprehensive to travel the country of El Salvador due to its dangerous reputation. However with a little awareness and some basic Spanish I had no problems and El Salvador turned out to be one of my favorite countries. The people here were above and beyond welcoming, lovely, and just so happy we chose to visit their country. One of them even invited us to stay on top of his volcano! The pupusas were delicious, I made so many memories here and look at this sunrise and sunset...
4. Alaska
Two of my girlfriends and I rented a camper van to make our way around the largest state in the USA. Everywhere you turn you see something beautiful. I was blown away at how vast Alaska is, everything is massive and endless and gorgeous.
3. Roatan, Honduras
A Caribbean island with crystal clear waters, white sand, and awesome scuba diving/snorkeling. I love this island because it is absolutely beautiful, yet still feels a bit undiscovered. Don't let the 'Honduras' part fool you, just like my experience with El Salvador I found it perfectly safe with so much to do here!
2. Patagonia
Patagonia.. a huge bucket list item of mine, was everything I hoped it would be and more. It was a dream land. Towering mountains shaped unlike any I had ever seen. Glaciers more mammoth than I could have ever imagined. And water quite literally ice blue. Both the Argentinian and Chilean sides of Patagonia are stunning to say the least.
1. The Salt Flats of Bolivia
Hands down the most magical and unique site I have ever been lucky enough to witness. Miles of white salt covered in rain water creating a reflective illusion of what I can only describe as a never-ending alternate universe. Convinced this is the closest you can get to heaven on earth. I will never forget this place, because it is simply unforgettable.
There you have it, my top ten.. so far. Cannot wait to see what beauty the rest of my travels may bring me..
