The Salt Flats of Bolivia

aka Salar de Uyuni

aka HEAVEN ON EARTH The Salt Flat of Uyuni, Bolivia is the world's largest at 10,582 square kilometers (4,086 sq mi). Absurdly massive, appearing as if it goes on forever and ever into infinity. The salt flat is a result of transformations between multiple prehistoric lakes. The area is covered by a couple of meters of salt crust and is completely flat. When it rains the water sits atop the slat flat, creating the reflecting illusion you see in my pictures below.

It was hands down the most extraordinary and beautifully unique place I have ever been.

This was a MAJOR bucket list item for me. One I had been waiting to cross off for years. It did not disappoint. I was literally so in love.
